Luis Trigo participates in a seminar on Exchange of information in Uruguay
Under the heading “Automatic exchange of information: the beginning of a new era”, held in Montevideo (Uruguay) there has been a seminar attended by Luis Trigo, Partner of BROSETA and Head of the Wealth Management Department of the firm.
The Conference, which aimed to discuss the automatic exchange of information between tax authorities, featured the participation of renowned professionals in this field at the international level, as well as our own Luis Trigo, from BROSETA; Valeria D´Alessandro, of the Argentine firm Marval, O´Farrel & Mairal; Hugo Paredes and Daniel Lyon, of the Chilean firm Palma lawyers, and Eduardo Zaindensztat, former head of the national tax administration of Uruguay.
Jonás Bergstein, of the Uruguayan firm Bergstein lawyers, and organiser of the seminar, conducted the opening, making a brief analysis of the main tax changes that have occurred over the past few years.
The more than 70 professionals who attended this meeting were able to receive first-hand experiences and teachings from some of the best-known lawyers in the international environment on issues such as treaties, legislation in countries like the United States, Switzerland, Argentina, Uruguay or Chile, bank secrecy, etc.
