On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the first act of charity by Casa Caridad, the Valencian Association of Charities has paid tribute to the companies and organizations that have continuously collaborated with the charitable institution during this time. Broseta has been one of the 36 renowned firms, that in thanks, have been given a piece of art by the artist Miquel Navarro.

The event, which was attended by representatives of more than 150 companies, also served to launch the new “Companies with Value” campaign, where Casa Caridad aimed at encouraging firms to consistently collaborate, in order to allow sufficient financial stability for the benefit of the most needy. The contributions made by the member companies of this campaign will be destined to finance the daily maintenance of Casa Caridad, which today amounts to 9,300 Euros a day and which from January 2016 is estimated at 12,300 Euros a day.

Casa Caridad

Casa Caridad Valencia is a private charity, of public scope, dedicated to meet the most basic needs of homeless people and those at risk of social exclusion. Currently its services include communal dining rooms, hostels, nursery schools, nursing homes, clothing, day centres, hygiene and health programs, leisure and free time outings and programs for housing and employment searches. It has a team of over 200 volunteers and distributes more than 300,000 food rations, the hostel welcomes more than 20,000 overnight stays by homeless people and the nursery schools cater to more than 100 children aged between 1 and 3 years.

Despite the economic difficulties of recent years, Casa Caridad has continued to help people in need seeking its services, extending that social work to other offices and locations.
