BROSETA reinforces its Banking and Finance Department with the recruitment of Carlos Gutiérrez as Partners

Within the framework of the Strategic Plan 2020 that is being carried out by BROSETA and that contemplates, among other aspects, the recruitment of teams and lawyers of recognised professional excellence with the objective of consolidating the organisation among the leading legal firms in Spain, the Firm has recruited Carlos Gutiérrez to head the Banking and Finance department of the Madrid office.

The new partner of the Firm, an expert in all types of financing and restructuring operations, joins the team led by Antonio J. Navarro with the aim of promoting and consolidating, from the Madrid office, one of the practices in which BROSETA is one of the benchmark advisors in the market, and in which it has among its main clients the main financial entities and investment funds.

Coming from Baker & McKenzie, Carlos Gutiérrez has a long career in the financial sector, having advised leading companies and being involved in major transactions linked, mainly, to the industrial and real estate sectors. He has a Law Degree from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master’s Degree in Corporate Finance from the ESADE Business School. Carlos has also worked as an internal legal advisor for different financial entities during his career.

For Rosa Vidal, Managing Partner of BROSETA, “the incorporation of Carlos consolidates and boosts our advisory capacities in a key sector for our economy and for our companies, and in which BROSETA has a wide expertise and a notable recognition as an active part of some of the most important transactions and jobs of the last few years”.

José Manuel Otero Lastres, Senior Advisor of Commercial & Litigation Law; and Carlos Vérgez, Director of the Competition department.
