Carlos holds a degree in Law and a Diploma in Economics from the University of Deusto. He has a postgraduate degree and specialisation in institutions such as the Catholic University of Lovaina, the University of the Basque Country and the College of Europe in Bruges and has more than 15 years of experience in positions of responsibility in the field of European Law and Competition in firms such as Uría Menéndez, Garrigues and Clifford Chance, and has been included as one of the leading lawyers in his practice area in international directories such as Chambers & Partners and Best Lawyers.

In his long professional career, BROSETA‘s new Director of Competition has advised leading multinationals in all areas of Competition Law (horizontal agreements, distribution contracts, compliance programs, internal audits, merger control and state aid) as well as in matters of unfair competition and corporate law in sectors such as consumer electronics, retail distribution, telecommunications, audiovisual, industry and food.

Carlos also collaborates as a teacher in institutions such as the Instituto de Empresa, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad Carlos III, Universidad Pontificia Comillas – ICADE, Universidad San Pablo CEU, Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) and Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB), among others, and has numerous publications on Competition Law and European Union Law, both national and international.

For Rosa Vidal, BROSETA‘s Managing Partner, “with the incorporation of Carlos, we have consolidated a team of high value, exceptional talent and highly valuable capabilities for our clients”.
